At City Lifting we are very excited to announce a brand new addition to our mobile crane fleet coming very soon…the long, powerful and very mobile LTM 1450-8.1. Designed for high flexibility and economy, this Leibherr crane will be an excellent extra.
What we like about the 8-axle Liebherr crane at City Lifting is that it has been designed for worldwide cost-effective mobility whilst also being fast and easy set-up on site. What’s more, the great LTM 1450-8.1 is also capable of travelling on public roads with a 12-tonne axle load, including its 85 metre long telescopic boom, all supports and a complete hoist winch! This allows for fast set up and means that we can quickly prepare it for use once we reach site, to help City Lifting deliver the high quality, time effective service that we always do!
So what else does the LTM 1450- 8.1 have to offer, we hear you say? Well, long and powerful, the Leibherr mobile crane can hoist a very respectable 20 tonnes at a fully extended 85 m telescopic boom. What’s more, the maximum jib length of this powerful all terrain crane length is 276 feet. And if you were wondering what the maximum load capacity was for this 8-axle crane, the 1450-8.1 clocks in at nearly 500 tonnes!
And if it couldn’t get any better, the LTM 1450 8.1 also features VarioBallast adjustable counterweight and Variobase outrigger set up system. Liebherr’s VarioBallast feature is used to vary the ballast radius in infinite increments from 22 to 16.4 feet. This gives the marvellous mobile crane the ability to work more proficiently on constricted sites.
And last but not least, this brilliant all terrain mobile crane is powered by a single 8-cylinder, 687-horsepower Liebherr engine. This therefore eliminates the need for a separate superstructure engine and its additional maintenance and fuel consumption concerns. Great!
