220T Faun is the solution to the problem
City lifting had an enquiry to look at installing two new steel frame staircases inside an enclosed courtyard in Bow E3. The radius that the steels and glass where having to be installed at was greater than 60m meaning a very large crane to be situated in the road for the duration of the works.
Instead of this we had come up with the solution of lifting over a 706 Unic spider crane and a small 10t city crane into the courtyard with our 220t Faun Mobile telescopic crane so that the work could be completed over two weeks from inside site. This has not only saved money on the huge council costs to close the road but also the daily hire of the Unic 706 and 10t City kato was below half of the cost of a 220t mobile to be situated for two weeks on site. All of the materials to complete the project were lifted over into site on the same day so that the 220t mobile crane was only required on two occasions in total.Back to projects
I would like to take this opportunity to formally acknowledge and thank you for all the detailed planning, hard work and effort that ensured the lifting and installation of the new chiller went according to plan over the weekend of the 26-27th July.- Shane King, St Mary’s Hospital
Yesterday evening I made the trip to Stroud to oversee the evenings activities, I feel the need to convey my appreciation on how City Lifting represented themselves during their time onsite at Sainsbury’s Stroud; I’m sure to you guys this was not a complex lift but it held its own unique set of dangers to the fabric/personnel of the store. I feel the team you sent (Joe, Glen and Brian) were a credit to themselves and City Lifting, everything was carried out with a ‘safety first’ attitude which is absolutely imperative while working on a live store.
The condition of the crane and appearance of the team were first class and really goes a long way to maintain our important relationship with a major client.
Good work and thanks!!- First Class performance by City Lifting
