City Lifting provide lifting solution at Castle Rising Castle in Norfolk

City Lifting are pleased to have recently assisted at the very historic ‘Castle Rising Castle’ in Norfolk by providing a lifting solution with our Bocker RK36.

This exciting project was requested by Lord Howard (the owner of the castle) and the English heritage who wanted to replace an internal elevated pedestrian walkway. It is the perfect example of a job that only a Bocker RK36 could handle. With the need to track across a small arched bridge that is over 800 years old, our 4.5t Bocker RK36 was the only crane that was light enough to do this, whilst also having enough reach and capacity for the lifting of the replacement 8m long steel beams.

The whole lifting operation took 6 hours to complete from arrival on site to pulling out the gate. Our tracked Bockers are available for a contract lift such as this one or as a CPA hire with us supplying a driver and delivery on our own transport.

Testimonials

Yesterday evening I made the trip to Stroud to oversee the evenings activities, I feel the need to convey my appreciation on how City Lifting represented themselves during their time onsite at Sainsbury’s Stroud; I’m sure to you guys this was not a complex lift but it held its own unique set of dangers to the fabric/personnel of the store. I feel the team you sent (Joe, Glen and Brian) were a credit to themselves and  City Lifting,  everything was carried out with a ‘safety first’ attitude which is absolutely imperative while working on a live store.

The condition of the crane and appearance of the team were first class and really goes a long way to maintain our important relationship with a major client.

Good work and thanks!!

I would like to take this opportunity to formally acknowledge and thank you for all the detailed planning, hard work and effort that ensured the lifting and installation of the new chiller went according to plan over the weekend of the 26-27th July.
