Double Win for City Lifting’s Jake Archer at Oulton Park

Team City Lifting Moto3 rider Jake Archer left round 2 of the Hel Performance British Motostar Championship with a double win last weekend, extending his lead to 31 points. Team mate Jack Scott collected another podium to keep himself in third place and still in the hunt for the 2018 title!

Race 1 saw both Jake Archer and Jack Scott wheel-to-wheel for nearly all of the first seven laps, but unfortunately Scott developed a mechanical issue which took him out of the fight for victory. Archer cruised to the winning position, crossing the line 7.069 seconds ahead of Storm Stacey in second and Asher Durham in third.

Race 2 was a tight battle out front, and Archer pipped Stacey over the line by a slim 0.044s to complete his weekend double, while Scott fought back to finish in the final rostrum spot.

Jake Archer said: “I came with the intention of taking two wins, especially after a small mistake at Brands Hatch meant I didn’t score maximum points there. It was good fun battling with my teammate in the first race and then Stacey in the second and we go to the next race feeling really positive. I must thank Ryan Saxelby for an excellent bike and all my sponsors including City Lifting.”

Team City Lifting now have a long 8 week break until The Motostar paddock travel north to Knockhill in July.
